PEGASUS : Printing
Printing systems evolve cyclically and today we are undergoing complete innovation, both in terms of language and in terms of capacity; current printing technologies enable the very high-speed production of documents with variable texts and pictures, in black and white, spot colour or full-colour.
The technological features that have to pilot these new technologies require scalable solutions for the management of the entire process, whether it is in black and white or colour.
The management of colour implicates the use of data compression techniques and technologies which must be fully understood and dominated in order to reduce the cost/Mbyte impact to minimum levels in the processing and printing, filing and retrieval phases: without this know-how, the consequences could translate into extensive operative costs and delays.
Thanks to the know-how of Rotomail, the design scalability of Pegasus is guaranteed and is has already been operational for over a decade, making a wide range of printing opportunities available to our customers, ranging from the standard approach in black and white simplex to full-colour duplex.
When we talk about full-colour, obviously we mean industrial productions with industrial costs and not small laser or inkjet colour printers which, while being highly sophisticated and capable of printing variable data, are not compatible with large-scale productions, both with reference to costs and production volumes.
The documents can be produced starting from white paper (prioritising flexibility, the absence of warehouse stocks and the lack of obsolescence of pre-printed material) or from pre-printed paper. In both cases, very high levels of quality and legibility are guaranteed which, when added to the front/back printing method, guaranteeing savings on raw materials, the optimisation of the final weight of the envelope and consequent savings on postage costs.
Rotomail is able to use very lightweight paper even for colour printing which, depending on the case, generates huge Postage savings.
