PEGASUS : Processing
Processing is at the centre of the whole project, inasmuch as it enables the best use of the data which will be adapted to the previously developed design and, the better the data is structured, the more flexible, qualitative and safe the process will be.
The structure of the data accepted as input for processing is very flexible and can be easily adapted using basic record structures or spool files which are already available, thus making it possible to avoid any IT/graphic intervention and enabling EDP to save precious processing time.
The application that manages the layout for the composition of the aforementioned documents envisages dynamic paging capable of managing boxes and tables with variable geometries, the introduction of data and colour pictures and the customisation of conditional graphics.
BARCODES are also added for the automated management of undelivered-items and histograms or other dynamically generated graphics.
In the future, the application, developed as a middleware solution, will offer the opportunity to make further changes to the graphic aspect of the document and the introduction of new elements obtained by processing the same input data (graphics, communications conditioned by cost and geographic volumes, etc.) thus enabling us to offer new communication opportunities to our customers, , who need not necessarily change the internal organisation of their data.
The data can be transmitted by computer on Rotomail servers using the public network and evolved encrypting systems, via VPN, CDN, ISDN, SFTP or via e-mail using digital certificates. Physical supports such as CD, DVD and magnetic supports for large amounts of data or for disaster recovery purposes in the event of problems with the transmission network are also envisaged.
