PEGASUS : Electronic Filing and Retrieval.

To support this activity in an extremely efficient manner, Rotomail has chosen PDF as its reference standard (global standard developed by Adobe), implementing it in the Pegasus system since 1997.

This format that we use offers countless technological advantages which can be summarised as follows:

• Multi-platform hw/sw support

Another important feature of the Pegasus system lies in the possibility to return to the Customer an indexed archive on CD-ROM, DVD or other magnetic supports, containing all the conformant copies of the documents generated, also permitting stand-alone use of the support.

The system envisages the creation of filing keys built according to the customer’s standards and without numerical limits. The file with all the necessary search keys (which are subject to no numerical restrictions) which will be issued with the PDF files, will supply the input to the database to be used by the customer for the retrieval of information (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).

Should the customer have no retrieval system, he can use the Pegasus Web Retrieval System (PWRS), developed specifically by Rotomail, which uses an Internet browser and Acrobat Reader to read the graphic files as the user interface to consult the database.
